Men of War, Faces of War, and Soldiers: Heroes of World War 2 are all part of the same series of super detailed tactical strategy games that allow direct control of units, but it's not like a first person shooter. I think Uprising was the Wolf3d FPS/RTS hybrind genre, and Battlezone was it's Doom. I really do wish there were more games like Battlezone though. It's a strategy game where you direct control your units and your base is a giant submersible carrier. I'll bring Hostile Waters: Anteus Rising to the table. Was it dumbed down from the original? Anyone know? ![]() ![]() ![]() Though I suppose it doesn't help that Battlezone 1 is a totally unrelated "remake" of the vector graphics tank shooter, that's why the main menu has that cute little vector graphics movie. People seem to be confusing Battlezone with Battlezone 2 for some reason. Haven't played Sacred 2 but Sacred 1 doesn't. ![]()
